The Freetown Reality
The Gap Between
Circumstance and Potential
In the heart of Freetown, in communities like Kroo Bay and Susan's Bay, brilliance is often buried under the weight of extreme poverty. Here, 12% of our children have lost their parents, and 82% of households face daily food insecurity.
For these children, school is a luxury they cannot afford, and a future is a dream they cannot see. But we believe that a child’s background should never determine their trajectory. We are here to bridge the gap between their circumstances and their potential.

The Mechanics of Impact
Our holistic approach is designed to transform potential into leadership.

Quality Education
We cover the 'hidden costs' that keep children out of the classroom, providing uniforms, textbooks, and quality instruction based on the 'Teaching at the Right Level' model.

Meet Aminata. A year ago, Aminata was one of the 'hidden children' of Kroo Bay. After losing her mother to illness, she dropped out of school to help her aunt sell vegetables in the market. Her dream of being a nurse felt like a fantasy.
Today, through the Joslyn Divine Foundation, Aminata is back in the classroom. She has a mentor, a safe home, and a stomach full of nutritious food.
Aminata isn't just a student anymore; she is the president of her school's Climate Club. She isn't waiting for the future; she is building it.
